Where we have been

The cafes, so far.

A different cafe each time. Four across London, and two in St Andrews, about three hundred and fifty miles north.

Stylised maps. Exact addresses go out with your confirmation, never in public.

Two kinds of FFS

A Table or a Social.

FFS TABLE

Your own work, then the people.

Quiet focus blocks and conversation breaks, six to a table, sometimes with something optional after.

FFS SOCIAL

No laptops. One theme.

A walk, an activity or a debate built around one idea. First up: The Hot Takes Trail.

How it works

Quiet to work. Breaks to talk.

Work in the quiet blocks, talk in the breaks. Never both at once. Every table is open or themed: either way you bring your own work, and on a themed table the breaks stay on the theme, so you talk with people into the same thing.

You bring the work

Whatever you keep putting off.

We book the room

We find the cafe and keep the clock.

You meet the other five

Curated breaks with people doing their own thing.

The shape of it

About two hours twenty minutes either way. The listing says which shape your table runs.

Quiet work Break Arrive and close

Social

Three short blocks, two breaks.

Focused

Three ways in

However you want to use it.

Same table. Different host, different finish.

Every format runs on the same table: quiet blocks to work, curated breaks to talk. The listing carries the exact timings.

Questions

The things people ask.

Is it like Pomodoro?

Yes, a glorified Pomodoro, with structured and themed breaks. And five other people.

Is this networking?

Not the usual kind. No pitching, no badges. You get to know the other five in the breaks.

Is it quiet, or is it social?

Both, one at a time. Silent work blocks, then proper breaks to talk.

What do I bring?

Whatever you keep putting off: a project, applications, coursework, a book. Themed tables say what fits.

Do I have to talk to anyone?

As much or as little as you like. The breaks give you something to talk about if you want it.

How long is it, exactly?

About two hours twenty minutes. Social: three 25 minute blocks, two 15 minute breaks. Focused: blocks of 35 and 40 minutes with one 30 minute break.

Where is it?

Cafes in London and St Andrews. The listing shows the area; the address comes once your seat is confirmed.

Can I run one?

Yes. That is how this grows. Fill in the form and we will come back to you.

Find your table. FFS.
